* The rhyming books for children make reading more fun as the words and pictures show concepts and trip off the tounge.
* Rhyming books have been used for centuries to inspire and encourage the use of language and engaging learning.
* Picture books for toddlers have always been enjoyed and considered "fun with Mum (or Dad)" whilst learning and active chat can expand the learning.
* Kids picture books need to appeal to adults as well as they are the "readers".
* Nursery rhymes can be in small sizes and large "big books" - all are great for children to follow along, repeat and find out.
* Toddler books? Why not books for toddlers? They will be stimulated towards the english language far more so than TV learning, because it happens in real time and is with their treasured carer.
Most children enjoy rhyming, joining in and seeing the pictures. They like silly rhymes because it makes them laugh. They also like different scenarios and characters doing real life and funny things.
Rhyming books go down well with babies right through to early school year age children. Books read every day will extend and support their vocabulary and knowledge.
Make eye contact as you read. Delight children in the language and the pictures ... the repetition and the continual changing verse. Amuse kids with the silliness of the characters and the things they do.
Build in them a love of language, verse and words that will benefit children for a lifetime. Watch them develop and stimulate them to learn more.

This book is similar to the author's book If You Have a Dog - A Silly Rhyming Picture Book (Animal Rhyming) In this book, the words began with "If you find a ______" (monkey, cheese, ticket, book, kite, boot, peanuts, hat, penny, grannie, birdie, rubber, apple, jellyroll), then "______" (the activity follows in the verse.) For example, the first sentence is "If you find a monkey, show him your house." The next sentence is "If you find some cheese, give it to your mouse." As in the other book, the author provided reading recommendations for parents. The formatting of the book was perfect across all devices.
As I wrote on the other similar book also written by this author "the book was just OK, and the illustrations were just OK, so I am providing a 3 rating; others may disagree. As a grandma, I have been looking at a lot of children's books and reading them to my little ones. Since I was able to download this book for free, I will read it once to my grandchild(ren) and will then decide whether or not to keep it based on their response."

If You Find A Monkey A Rhyming Book for Children Rhyming for Children 1 eBook Jenny King Reviews
I loved this book it is a perfect book for my son! I would tell everyone about it. I'm Love'n it
My daughter loved this book and its the first book she has tried to read all by herself. I believe this book will be ideal for a 5-6 year old who is learning to read. She felt so proud reading it to her grandparents and so did I. My young son who is 3 also loved listening. Highly recommended!
i purchased this book for my little monkey. she lovs it and i love the reading time we spend together. thanks
This rhyming book is fun for younger children and interesting for older none-native English speaking children to learn the language.
My son thought this story was so funny he couldn't stop laughing and smiling and it was very easy for him to read
Its repetitive nature "if you see a...." is engaging for children. Its fun and silly. Short enough to keep the young ones engage.
This book is all about finding things and what to do with them.
Monkey * Cheese * Ticket * Book * Kite * Boot * Peanuts * Hat * Penny * Granny * Birdie * Rubber * Apple * Jelly Roll
It is quite sweet for younger children BUT desperately needs editing for punctuation. All the sentences start with "if" instead of "If", there is only one period/full stop in the entire book and that is not at the end. There are also two exclamation marks which are fine. No matter the age of the child, they need to be reading books that are well written so that they learn from the beginning how to write correctly. Getting children to start sentences with upper case letters is hard at the best of times so they do not need to be reading books that show them the wrong way.
Sorry but won't be keeping this one in our library.
